Hi Chaps

Do any of you know of a training provider that does the CITB safe handling certificate (2 day course) in the south west area.

I have 1 engineer that need to re take theirs as they have expired and 1 apprentice also. I also need to re take mine as its due to expire.

Ideally i would like to find a training provider in the Bristol, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth area etc but i am at a loss.

Any ideas would be much appreciated so we dont have to travel half way accross the country.

I would put them through the new C & G 2079 but i dont think its available yet?

Many thanks

Gareth

Does East Devon College in Tiverton still do it?

If you mean C&G 2078, yes it is available. Our local training company (prtc.co.uk) have been doing it for at least 3 months.

2079 is the new F-gas accreditation scheme and will basically supercede 2078.

C&G and CITB will both be offering F-gas accreditation and courses are beginning to become available from training providers now. If you need to renew your 2078 shortly, and you have the time (it can be a five-day course), it would be better to go for 2079 F-gas accreditation as you will have to do it before July 2011 anyway.

Check with your local training provider as to when and if he will be starting courses.
