I am looking for a decent electronic leak detector (mainly for 407) any recommendations please in the UK.

javac tek mate every time,most uk distributors should be able to get you one,i got mine from climate

same here, excellent for 407 picks up very small leaks. Bought mine from Gasco

I have an Amprobe ultrasonic about ten years now, no trouble with it. doesn't care what you have leaking. you can hear a mouse fart from across the room too!

I seem to think I have recently seen an ad for a JAVAC that now does helium and Nitrogen along with all the other refrig gases ... now my guess would be this has to be a very usefull tool.

By the pictures of instruments and their type names Javac=Inficon!
