I have 3 - 30XA5006 Carrier Chillers, air cooled.
What lemons they are.
They are 24 months on the job and I have noting but problems.
Replaced heaters 3-times.
Replacing flow switches.
repalcing condensing coils.
Numerous oil trip outs.
Numerous compressor over heating trip outs.
carrier is now in the process of changing all, all condensing fan motors and blades.
Carrier is also in the process of changing out one compressor.
Carrier has rep[laced suction service valves.
Carrier seems not to be able to establish oil levels or proper refrigerant charges.
Oil sensors have been changed, so on and so on.
Any one else having these problems??

Got lots running in UK with no major probs, but they are built in Montluel, France not USA so can't comment. I reckon the 06T screw compressors are excellent though- they have been around for years in US made, can't understand why you have had such trouble.

Good morning,

If the serial number beginnig by 12. This the code of fab of Montluel Factory.
If it isn't, it was made in Charlotte (us)
The biggest size in Montluel is 30XA1702 (with 4 cp 06TU)
Or the last possibility, it's a prototype.
I'm in France and i've never heard such problems on this unit type.

The series of 30XA of carrier is fit only for European market even in Muscat brand new chillers used to have some problem or other.Probably the condenser designs are not meeting the ambient conditions
