Fridgefreezer sending me morse code

My fridgefreezer is making an anoying clicking noise from its contol panel. It sounds like a relay. The fridge light flashes at same time when door is opened. I thought it was a faulty light switch but can't find it. Fridge and freezer are stuggling get down to temperature . A red warning light is on and flashes in time with the clicking. It still flashes when door closed. The fan is working. The compressor is getting hot.
The model is SERVIS M0330S.
Any ideas how it knows when the door is open as I think this is where the problem is? Its been getting worse over about 6 weeks.

The fan still works when the door is open?
There's got to be a visible door switch on the hinge side or at the top anyway.

I went round the fridge door frame with a magnet and found the switch built into the circuit board at the top.
The fan goes off when the door is opened but pulses when the door is closed in time with clicking. I spoke to someone today and from what I described they said it sounded like the "module", guessed they ment circuit board. tomorrow I find out.
