Can anybody tell me the main reason for start capacitor failing.
I replaced capacitor and unit ok for approx 6 weeks but capacitor has blown again.When tested starting / running amps all looks ok any ideas ???

Check the voltage rating of the capacitor which you are using, chances of failures of capacitor of 275v are much higher than a 400v capacitor with 230v supply.
