...feel relaxed now ... no need to think if I lock the doors...just leave them opened to confuse "visitors";)

Best regards, Josip :)

Get a dog!!

Did that,
Got a big scary German Shepherd...

She's now 7 months and almost as tall as a fully grown male dog (=big BITCH)

She's the only dog I ever had that's not interested in the door, at most she will lift her head when someone knocks.
She Loves going to the vet!
She prefers veggies to meat!
Tuna is her favourite food!

In order for her to fend off a burglar he needs to be extremely, volatility allergic!

Viking, you're dog is behaving like that because you are there. If you leave the house she will be on watch, and in a completely different state of mind.

I say this because our dog (Labrador mixed with something lithe and dangerous looking) was as soft as they come. On top of it he chewed up everything that belonged to me: mobile phone, screw drivers, gloves, etc. As far as I was concerned he was a great family dog but no good for guarding the house.

One night, however, I came home late and on foot. I walked up the dark track to the house. As I arrived I must have woken him up and he made a noise that would have frightened Satan! Needless to say I stopped dead and started cooing to him while trying to control my bladder.

Thanks for that Peter. It is a little disturbing. I once worked with a Gypsy who showed me how easy it was with padlocks. Apart from the obvious: hitting them with a hammer, he also would break them off with a big pair of steel scissors. On big padlocks he said the sound was like a gun going off.

One point though Peter, they said in the PDF doc that you had to take a little material off the key shoulder to make sure that when you hit it the key would have enough impetus to send the pins up. So if you just make a groove in you're lock that allows the shoulder of the key to enter too far it won't work. What do you think?

Yes it would probably stop them, but it would also stop you from opening it as well.
