anybody help us outhere in this big world with thanks

we have a side by side and the alarm keeps going off and the fridge aint getting cold and the freezer just aint cold enough!! freezer set at 18 and the fridge at 5. but all we get is the alarm! at this time its off (48HRS) but we've done this before.any advice would be great

Tonto33 has a good point.

W'll be able to advise you from there.

Also just check if the fan is working in the freezer.

To do this open the door then push the door switch which you will probably find somewhere at the top in the door seating area. When you do this a fan should switch on in the freezer compartiment.

Open the fridge side. There should be a silver sticker on one of the inside panels with all the details on.

Something you can do is take the shelves out of the freezer side then unscrew the back panel to get to the evaporator (this is a thing that looks like your car radiator). Once you can see it start the fridge up again and watch for frosting on this coil. It shoul frost all over. Try it and give us the results.

Info labels are often hidden behind salad drawer in the base of the cabinet.

thanks for your help regarding whirpool.
took the back off and cleaned it abit
and worked fine but few days later loaded it with food and hey presto it went off again-the alarm! any reason for this.
