hi All,
Hoping we have an air conditioning specialist among us.

I have a couple of problems well that's what my wife tells me, anyway back to the matter at hand with my AOT30 Fujitsu ducted air con yeah thanks tubby Taylor.

First issue well i think it is, i set the air con to 22 degrees once heating temp has been reached i can hear the exchange unit switch to monitoring mode that's what Fujitsu told me. but the fan still blowing recycled air which if you are sitting in my lounge will get a nice breeze on your back, is it possible to deactivate this during heating mode only as summer would be fine.

Second issue, backup battery is not keeping my setting's when power spikes or blackouts battery was 2.59v which is an easy fix, but i did notice a bank of dip switches just curious what they do I'm looking for a installation service manual of sorts.

Well the fan has to keep running so it can monitor the temp. You may be able to disable the fan, depending on the model, but then it won't start up correctly. ie you set it to 22C, the unit cycles off, your temp drops to 18 or lower, but the a/c is still reading 22C and won't switch back on. If it's not circulating your room air it doesn't know that it is colder than 22C where you are sitting, as the sensor is right infront of the just cycled off warm evap coil.
edit: Battery backup needs to be set, it's the last dipswitch in the controller, sw2, dip #6. turn the mains off before you set it though.

maintenance, and cleaning the sensors might do the trick. sometimes relocate the sensors for a few mm.
