wondering if there is any alternative to a nitrogen tunnel for fast freezing,
application working on has no recovery system and costs a fortune to run.
belt time 15 mins, belt lenght 10m, 1 tonne per hr.
king prawns, plastic tray packaging , 600- 1000 grams
need fast freezing to keep quality of product

Just throwing it out there,

From my own resreach I'm thinking of a bed freezer, but I think i'll reduce the quality and will have to freeze individual prawns rather than in the packaging,

I was also recommended a magnetic tunnel apparently it improves the quality of the product no end but I haven't seen the application on a tunnel yet.

anyone heard about it?

Are you thinking of the Cells Alive system? There was a thread about that that was quite old, but contributed to recently.

Yeap, that,s exactly the system I was talking about. My client visited the institution and was quite impressed with there working applications, but they did not have a prototype for his requirements even tough they where addament that the technology could be applied to any application.
Also cost was about 3/4 of million euro, to long payback time.

thanks for your reply
