System is a ducted system, connected to condenser FDCVA402 HenR, installed (by others) a year ago. For a while, the controller has been showing Error Code-E51 "PROTECT STOP", after running for a short while (say 15-30mins).

Tried MitsiHI but no one from technical available today/Friday. Anyone know what this error code implies?

If it happens after running for 15-30 min, it's got to be temp or pressure related.
If the system doesn't have pressure switches or transducers, it's going to be high discharge temp.

Check this (http://mitsubishi.geradordeprecos.info/mitsubishi_pac/index.html) manual (page 185)!

According to this, it is problem with inverter!

Thanks for info given.

Guess it's the inverter, then.

Does anyone know if the 3-year MHI warranty belongs to the customer, or is it only offered to the original installer, or something restrictive like that?

on this unit e51 is inverter overheat or a problem with sensor thoH which is i think on plug CNIP.
The error codes are listed on the inside of the condensing unit access panel or you can download them from the 3Dair web site -

Thanks Brit - Just the job.

(Must say I had a good look on the 3D site for the codes and what I found seemed to be abbreviated without the vital e51 entry.)
