Not exactly a cruise ship but I do work on a yacht.

Saltwater cooling, heel angles, vibration, no shops in the ocean, hot and humid, power restrictions, size limitations, saltwater (again) and a price tag of 300% extra for the word 'marine'. Other than that its pure bliss.

I work as a Chief Refrigeration Engineer for one of the larger cruise lines. I started out on a fishing boat twelve years ago and now I am on my third cruise line and seventh cruise ship, (17th counting cargo, ferries, tankers, etc.)
I am going on my second year and second ship with my current employer and haven't been happier since I signed off that first fishing boat.:D

You can apply for royal carribean on them site,but are you sure that you are ready for this???????????
Check my pics and if you are familiar with york vsm chillers you can try your luck!send me a pm and i will give you a mail adress which can help you !if you are not italian you don't have any chance to try to carnival!
