Hi Folks

I hope you can help me out.

I am lookiing to buy a fridge freezer and willing to spend upto £350.00.

I have checked the 'Which' guides and some of the appliance review recommendations am just stuck when it comes to choosing one.

I had seriously considered the hotpoint FF200 and FF187 but seems to be problems re poor cooling etc. I have fired off an email to Hotpoint to ascertain if they have carried out modifications to prevent the problems occurring.

The wife is going daft because I can't make a decision.

Are there any appliances that those who work on them would recommend?

Does it make more sense to buy two separate appliances?

I appreciate any replies- Thanks again.

Go for the ones with the least electronics. More crap that is in them the more things to sod up.

My personal philosophy is dedicated devices for their dedicated job that way each is running at peak efficiency for their task!

I hope that helps & gives some thing to ponder.

Radi,
You havetwo choices.

Buy a cheap one...one years warranty, and keep your fingers crossed you get longer than 1 year,
or buy more upmarket and possibly get a longer warranty. How about John Lewis....not sure but they might give a longer warranty. More expensive units tend to be more expensive for spares. Why not go for a Which? best buy.

Thanks to all that responed.

I was in John Lewis store today and the Bosch has more or less been chosen.

Looks like they give a two year guarantee

I am of the same mind the less intricate and extra bits and pieces the better- keep it simple.

Thanks again
