dear friends,
can anybody pls provide me the formulas for cooling load calculation because iam trying to estimate the load for a chiller room with 9 m^2 area with room temperature 5 degree celcius wherereas ambient temp is 31 degree celsius i know the formula
Q = AU (T1 - T2) but if i substitute it is giving wrong result ill be thankful if you provide the set of formulas with units and examples

How can this give the wrong result, if you use the correct information?
What are you comparing your answer to with the above equation?
This equation only provides the heat loss or heat gain through a wall/roof/floor.
You also have to include the product cooling load, motor & light heat gain, air infiltration, etc.

Thanks For Your Reply Can You Explain Wth Example ,is This The Only Formula Or Any Other Pls I Doubted May Be I Made Mistakes In Units Pls Give An Example Or Solve For The Datas I Given In Last Post

If you are not familliar with calculating heat loads for coldrooms, such as fabric gains, electrical inputs, product load (sensible Latent and respirative) , occupancy gains, running times, defrost inputs etc then it's probably better that you use a software program.
Go to this site download their coolpack software ..
http://www.et.web.mek.dtu.dk/Coolpack/UK/About.html
go to download ... Run the sotfware ...go to cooltools design
open cooling demand
You will find an easy to use coldroom load calculation program. Which should help you. If you still wish to do it long hand then use the software as a check. :)
