cooling load for refrigeration or air conditioning?

This is why I don't like some of the software. Put numbers in and get numbers out. If you do not know what the numbers are being used for in the calculation then how do you know if the answer is correct?

Yes. Carrier E-cat(block load, hap) is an excellent software. It seems no other can beat it.

HI

To calculate cooling load you do not need any software, it is very easy to calculate cooling load.Frist tell me is it space cooling load or refrigerant cooling load.
U can contact me at (shameem_me04@yahoo.com) for help.

hi all, im new here.

i have tried "simplified cooling load" form which i get from american journal of enviromental science(yr 2005) recently from website. this form were modified from ACRI load estimation form into si unit. it stated for outside air heat load estimation; = floor area m.sq * 2.010575 + 0.708692*dt(temperature different). this formula derived from assumption of 20 frequent door usage.

link: http://www.scipub.org/fulltext/ajes/ajes13209-212.pdf

any comment about this formula??

i still swear by the good old excel sheets based on carrier handbook.

can anyone suggest the % difference in heat load capacity and air flow between Softwares and manual calculations.
