If you don’t have a correctly sized suction accumulator or your collector cannot hold enough liquid, think it over!

If your system has several expansion valves in parallel you have to study first if they affect each other. If they do it is better to adjust one at a time with the others closed.

Check the valve manufacturer website for information on how to adjust it!

Dear Sir.
The chiller has one Danfoss expansion valve and I follow the necessary information for this type of expansion valve but I still have the ice collection in the suction line and the three compressors with suction pressure near the 40 psi. the system use R22.

1. Ensure that you got enough refrigerant in the circuit. (measure subcooling/look in sightglass)

2. Ensure that enough water/fluid is passing through the heat exchanger.

3. Ensure that any and all driers/strainers are without blockage.

4. Measure the superheat and take actions as necessary.

PRESSURES ALONE DOESN'T TELL US/YOU ANYTHING.
