Hi all
I am student and I am working in the compressor repair shop as trainee and I have got some general information about semi-hermetic compressors on the Copeland web site. I don't know how does the compressor test after repair?
And I want to know, are there any service and maintenance manuals about semi-hermetic compressors? Can anybody help me about that information? The compressor repair shop doesn’t give me any information about compressors also I live in Iran so I can't buy anything’s.

Aashvac/r, I have emailed a Carlyle compressor book to you.

I know that it is not Copeland but I am still looking.

[edit1] Try also downloading the Technical Reference Manual from here...
http://www.cmpcorp.com/downloads.asp
It shows exploded views of most semi-hermetics with parts identification.

[edit2]I have some older, assorted, Copeland documents which I could email, the zipped file size would be 26.5MB, can your systems accept a file this size?

Below is the link to get Copeland's compressor performance calculator. You'll need to register before you can download it.

This tool allows you to check if the compressor is running within it's design criteria. But, only when it's installed in a complete refrigeration system. I don't know of any available information to test a compressor on the bench, not installed in a system.

There are service manuals available but I have not seen them in an electronic format. Once you register on the site you will see lots of information available.

^^ Unfortunately I do not have access to some old files at the moment.

I had to replace my computer recently and need some different cables to allow me to reconnect my old disk drive that has the files on it.

Let me help Brian out while he's down.

Here's a link to Copeland and Tecumseh files. They're in the third collum from the left.
