Anyone in australia know where to buy the female crimp connectors for 3mm^2 + cable, the right angled or "flag" type that nearly every air conditioner ever built in the history of the planet but no electrical wholesaler or retail electonic supplier has ever heard of?
1.5-2.5mm^2 spades are no problem, they're used in small refrig or a/cs under 3kw, but it's the bigger ones that I nned the most and can't find.

It's doing my head in, obviously they're made in the millions for the a/c manufacturers as all the larger splits use them, but no one sells them and I've looked in Larence & Hanson, Rexel, M&Ms, farnell, Rs spares etc to no avail.
Any help appreciated.

Not big enough. red coloured ones are for 1.5mm^2, the blue ones are for up to 2.5mm^2. I need ones for 3mm^2 and larger

Sorry I didn't check the range as usually there would have been red, blue and yellow, which would be ok. 3mm is an odd csa over here common sizes are 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, 4.0 6.0mm

HaveThanks for the reply, I'm not after 3mm specifically, just 3mm minimum, so 4mm or the normal "yellow" insulated ones is what I'm after.
Cheers

Why dont you use the uninsulated ones with the post-fit cover?

Uninsulated are fine, it's them that I was looking for, but all the ones I've seen are 2.4mm^2
I'm not an expert in electrical terminals, maybe I'm doing something wrong. All I can do is ask electrical and elecronic wholesalers, and none of them have even heard of large flag spade crimp connectors, so I'm at a loss on how to find any of them.
edit:

From that page there was only one rated at over 2.5mm^2, which is this one http://au.farnell.com/1346464/connectors/product.us0?sku=multicomp-fldnydx5-250
Even though it says minimum cabe size 4mm^2, I guess it should fit 3mm^2 cables, that's the closest I've come so far, cheers.

Why not try a compressor rebuilder, i assume these are for a compressors power terminals, the rebuild company would supply new leads with any rebuilt comp so the must have some they could sell to you.
I have got into the habit of saving any re-usable terminal wires when i change compressors just incase i need them later on.
