Been looking on the net as my leak detector hasnt been working right for some time so been lending one. I really like the sound of this one

http://www.fieldpiece.com/SRL2_infrared_refrigerant_leak_detector.html#Anchor-SR-62590

but cant seem to find any uk distributors on the net. Maybe I can't get it at all in the uk? Was going to buy from USA but from the spec its rechargeable so not sure the charger would work in England? Does any one know anything about this detector in England and wheather one frrom USA would work here.

Lastly does anyone have a detector which they think would be as good as this one and could recommend another replacement. Thanks guys!

Well, I like my old D-tek and now they also seems to have brought out an IR one, similar to the one you linked to.
(have a look HERE (http://www.inficonrefrigerantleakdetectors.com/en/d-tek-refrigerantleakdetector.html).)

And as D-tek is a brand stocked by most of UKs wholesalers we should be able to pick them up over here.

BTW, on the page you linked to they say that it comes with a car charger, that charger should work globally.

agree with the viking the D-tec takes some beating,ok its more expensive than other on the market but you get what you pay for and the tools you use pays the bills in my mind
