For the last month I have been in southern Spain and have a rented flat which is near the air-conditioning fans for a big complex. Normally, this is so quiet that we do not notice it. Suddenly, earlier this evening, it was making so much noise that it was like a jumbo jet taking off!
I vaguely recall that this may be part of a cycle and is to do with de-icing or something? Are we likely to get more such noise as the weather gets hotter? If this is just a few hours per week then no problem but if all the time we will have to move!
