Can anyone explain the basics of how a single screw compressor works. I did some research on the net and found a basic run down but just would like another explanantion. Cheers chris.

Look at the last page specifically.

The brochure shows the compression and capacity & Vi control in pictures along with a written description. After you read that, if you have any questions just post it in this thread.

Hi,
Does anybody know where could i find single Screw Compressor Design Standards , manual or handbook.
I have a new plan to design this type but need technical details and Standards to complete my project.

You cant design a new type of single screw because even halls (mc quay) and vilter need their rotors cut by a special machine, which we rent from the man with the patent. He didn't patent the stars or the rotor design but he did patent the machine for cutting them so you need to pay him to use the machine.
