New to this Forum, but here goes.
I am the Technical Sales Manager for a manufacturer of A/C, I think my sign in name may give away who that is.
Any technical questions on any of our equipment is welcome.
Cheers

I'd be more interested in becoming a Vaillant approved service engineer for air to air, ground source and the like to go with my incredible skills with gas fired water heating (Never been one to hide my light under a bushel).. I suspect though that the training will be rather expensive.. to go on top of my renewed ACS, Part L, Unventeds, Soon to be Part P etc, etc Seems that this year, all I have done is sit in a classroom giving people money

I met a Vaillant man in Plumb a few weeks ago who promised me the world if I fitted Vaillant boilers.. Glad I didn't hold my breath!!!! :(

Worcester Karl...;)

Sorry Karl,
I only deal at this moment with the A/C Dept.
Our ground source will be released later this year and air to water early next year.
If you really want to be an approved Vaillant engineer drop me a line on my email address and I will pass it on to the relevant department.
Cheers Jay

Welcome Jay, especially you with the skills on one specific product.
We already have a Danfoss guy, a Frascold specialist, no a Vaillant, some Daikin specialists and we happen to have an Eliwell man but he moved to Daikin.
We need people like you here.

You said Vaillant, I suppose these are white products sold under the Vaillant name? Or a company Vaillant recently bought?
In our country, it's only known for their heating systems and since some years heatpumps.

Vaillant Air Conditioning have been in Europe for the past ten years but only in the UK for the past three years.
Many thanks for the welcome.
Regards
Jay.

At the risk of asking a really dumb question, but where do folk buy Vaillant air con units from?... Vaillant are well known to gas men but are not so well known to ac fitters... Heating engineers will think that they are great, but would you want to honour the warranty if a gas fitter fitted it? Aircon engineers will grumble that the Vaillant units are not as good as a (Insert the fitters favorite brand of unit). Some have already voiced concern that they could be re badged cheap Chinese junk rather than Vaillants own equipment... A lot of guys got caught out by LG and tend to be a little more conservative in their choice of equipment these days.

It's a bit of a sticky one

Vaillant A/C units can be bought through our distributors i.e. United Refrigeration and Ryan Air Conditioning Spares based in Manchester.
Our warranty is a total guarentee warranty which means once you have fitted a Vaillant unit and heavens forbid it breaks down either you or your customer can call us and we will send our own team out to rectify the fault. Leaving you free to work on other jobs and not losing money fixing our equipment.
It is the only warranty of this type in the A/C industry.
Cheers
Jay

.

With an open-ended warranty that is a license to BAS, why sell it in the first place?

You may as well install it in the first time around and save the hassle.
