Iam An Engineer From The Uk, In 2001 I Obtained City And Guilds 207/208 Which Is The Refrigerant Handling Qualification. Does Anybody Know If I Need To Obtain Another Handling Qualification As I Do Not Know What Period Of Time 207/208 Runs For ?

As far as I know the C&G does not have an expiry date.

You may find however that the new F-Gas Regs may change all that.

There is a lot of info on the forum, try a search on F-Gas.

Hi suctionheader,
I have just been reading the last service matters No.13 from the IOR service engineers section. What it has to say is that the current minimum legal requirement (a national refrigerant handling qualification City & Guilds 2078 or CITB refrigerant handling card) will be superseded by the new F gas refrigerant handling qualifictions City & Guilds 2079/CITB J11. And holding one of the current qualifications will allow you to work untill July 2011 by which time you must have taken the new F Gas Handlind qualification.
Hope this helps.
