Been called to a sharp inverter today that isn't running model number Sharp inverter AE-X095E. When i turn the unit on to cooling, the fan starts and the compressor begins to start up for about a second or so then shuts down but doesn't fault, the condensor fan keeps running.

I've removed the compressor terminals and measured 19v down each of the leads but the compressor doesnt run. The compressor isn't down to earth and the resistance checks out ok.
From what i can tell power comes off the main board onto the capacitor then onto power transister module then onto power factor module which then feeds the compressor. I have 190v onto the last module but only 19v at the compressor. I've included some pics for you to look at.

I've included some pictures below of the compressor and the boards

did you did this one step at the the time, ore just asumed it was a compressor fault ??

if you started the unit indoors, you have a small delay before the out-unit starts,he may do a check up for a few seconds (30à45),and then whaits for the final start.
did you checkt al the wiring ?? presions at the in & out of the compressor??

just spelling ideas M8,;)

After the unit has faulted Led 1 stays lit meaning abnormal signal line.

Yes i did this one step at a time. Switched controller onto cool and waited for the fan and compressor to start, the compressor didn't fully start so i began to check the electrics that bring the compressor on. Although i don't really do much work on sharp i hoped there would be people on here that do and could enlighten me:D

I dont understand how u say you had 19v yet the compressor ran?

The compressor didn't run, the compressor sounded like it was trying to start for about 1 second then stopped.

Replaced the outdoor board and the capacitor today and it's now working.
