I have new Ice Rink system under construction. What is a recommended vacuum pressure we should evacuate system to and how long to keep it under such vacuum to approve the installation as vacuum-leek-free? Thanks.

I can only speak for Europe: leaktesting with vacuumed is prohibited. You must pressurize at 1.1 max operating pressure.
If you vacuum, you only have a pressure difference of 1 bar and this is not a real life situation.
I doubt this is common practice in the US.

Is it with NH3?

Why not with OFN?

What does it say in the project specification about the system tests to be performed.

What does the equipment supplier require?

This information should be available to you on site.

Vacuums are used for dehydration of the refrigeration system only. If you want to ensure the system is pressure-tight, use a pressure test.

Then once you are sure the system is leak-free, then pull a vacuum to assure the system has NO moisture in it.
