hi, i am vipin kumar from uttarakhand india, i want to est. a CA store for fruits(apple) in apple belt of our state.I want information to setup the plant. so everybody is invited to give me infomation regarding CA store boz i have no idea about plant menufacturer nither in india nor abrode. i will be thankfull. :)

if your product is apple you need to maintain a temperature of 1C to 7C

i want to know about C.A stores and M.A stores. for storage the apple. what is the difference in between that 2 stores. and who is the supplier of mech. and technololy in india.

In CA store we are controlling the gas composition by using scrubber, generator etc.

In MA store we are only maintaining the gas composition.

CA storage of any product is a complex matter and settings are very dependant on the varietal of the product, apples to be soted and the length of storage requried. There are also some significant safety hazards with CA storage due to the ultra low Oxygen levels that must be maintained. In some cases with apples as low as 2% O2, 2%CO2 and 96% N2. At these levels life can only be sustained for seconds giving operators no time to react.

The basic components required are relatively simple, A nitorgen generation plant along with O2 , CO2 controls. The actual plant though is complex and you would need to contact a manufacturer such as BOC Air Products or Medal to design a system for the cold room you want.
