Would anyone be interested in a get together to meet everyone face to face. I know if would be impossible for the guys accross the pond to get to but for the UK based engineers, could it be organised. I don't know how many people using this forum come from UK,USA,Others perhaps WEBRAM knows.
I know the logistics involved would be i nightmare so timing would be important. The only time/place that might be attended or visited but a few people would be RAC2004.

Anyone outthere interested

The demographics of this forum are spread over most of the world.

the U.S.A. membership is huge, as is the UK membership. But you should know that members also come from all over the World.

I am thinking of doing something at RAC 2004 but as yet have not got around to puting stuff together.

Hi rdocwra
Looks like a good idea, we used to do the same in the army years ago and you will be surprised how many will turn on.
After all we are refrigeration and air condition people.
I`m sure most of us can afford it and will enjoy it very much.
dont give up on that idea.

A great idea - except that as RAC is every two years, the next one is in 2005.

Is the RAC show the only one this industry holds.
I must admit it was interesting to see what units are on the market but mostly it seemed a big p*** up for rep's of each company to sell their units to project engineers.
Most of the Service based displays had the same yellow jacket products on them.

Hellp Reeferjon,
I have just sussed out what you mean by IRTE show, or i assume you are talking about the Commercial Vehilce show.
Do you know what MTK are offering his year. The last time i went i run into Kirk on the stand so i quickly retreated to the Carrier stand. Must admit though i was very interesting, might well pay it a visit, will have to see if MJW is going as he is probably the only person at MTK cambs i still know.

There doesn't seem to be many trade exibitions for this industry. Does anyone know of anything going on this year where we could meet up otherwise it might just have to be at a suitable venue. Probably midlands area whould be fairer.
Would there be much interest in a get together and if so any ideas where/When

Could always ask Reeferjon if we could hire out his training room for the night. You never know we might even be able to convert a few people to transport refrigeration.

Don't mind where it is. I suppose the most sensible way forward is to come up with a date & venue and see from there how many people are interested to see if it's viable

Not only will you get a chance to see "real" football up close, no doubt the Prof might be able to arrange a tour of Sporlan. :D

AHR Expo 2005 will be in Orlando, Florida, Feb 5th - 9th. If one finds the show dull, there is always Disney World. :)

The Prof is likely of German decent
His GGG-grandfather was born in Bensheim
