why do you want to cool the air in a skating rink??? you gone get a lot of humidity, and fals ice on top of the rink.

its gone get bubely.

think again,Ice

Yo M8,

think maybe to dehumify,;) so the temp will go dawn to, and the ice quality will be better or saved:). how high is the rooftop or seeling ???

a heatcurten can do the trick to,but its has to be high enough.

Hi Mr. ICECUBE51
Sorry being late to reply, problem with my lab. Let me tell you this,
the skating rink I am talking about will open in summer seasone the out deg. is max. 50 and as I knew the temp. inside should be around 15 and the walls insulated with panels of 5cm thikness. So what do think!!!!

What the fine way should I use to make people inside feel good? The area is 36L / 26W /8m . What about the humidety and how to control it( with dehumidfieir) ? Thanks.

Hoi M8,

as i see it,it comes dawn to, 900m² of icerink and a compressor total of +/- 350Kw, ( NH³ ??) and a total of 7488M³ room. 1 skater in action gives a +/- 350w to 450W loss of energie or heat input. on normal days you have 50 to 150 skaters for 8hours/day. in weekends or hollydays you get 150 to 250 skaters for 8 hours/day.that means you have a heat input of 80Kw/day or 10Kw/hour. how about lights ?? calculate the heat and add to the skaters.the temperatuur we try to maintain here in Belgium is about +5C° and a RH of 75%.find a way to make an airrecuperation ,add fress air ,dehumifie and cool it on an accepteble rainge.
make an "Mollier" diagram and calculate the need for dehumification.

Mr. Ice
That is good.I want to use mini chiller and depend on doors open for fresh air and exhusat fans(No.4) 6700 m3/h _14000m3/h, and installing dehumidfeirs seapratelly inside the rink.
Qustion: How many hours for stratup to reach the required temp.? The owner want low cost he didn't study the project's costs very well.
GOOD DAY

if you mean the start up of the rink,it can reach the temp within 72 hours, than you have about 4cm thickness, but whit the proper compressor power say 380Kw.
if you mean the dehumyfiers, as soon you have ice,the have to keep on working.but you have to place one or more hydrostats to keep the RH on a nice level.
