Dear All

thermal Insulation forms an integral part of refrigeration and heating but unfortunately I havnt been able to find useful writings on this topic. May I request fellow members to guide me on the technique of making modular type PU insulation panels on small scale as I am interested in constructin one for myself. ( for your information such panels are not readily available here and those who sell them on limited scale charge excessively and usually delay after receiving money after the so called contract,,,,problem of 3rd world countries , ah !)

I checked in the local chemical store where it sell polyol and some catalyst ....people here mix both of them in a certain ratio in a bucket , stir it manually with a handmade stirrer and then fill in the walls of fish holds of wooden fishing trawlers.... am not sure if the K value is maintained by them,,,,which ought to be 40 kg/per cubic metre , I need to fill in the hollow cavity between two sheets of 32 guage crs steel abt 5.5 inch apart and fixed vertically to form the walls of a -20 coldstore , 30ft by 30 ft by 10 ft high....am afraid if i dont reinforce the steel sheets or apply pressure to the externally they will bulge after poluurethane slurry is poured into the cavity///
any suggestions to overcome the problem???
does anyone know some good web site on the subject??
thanks
Maz

in India, now there are No of companies who are making panels. Mostly companies who were even doing Seat manufactruing etc, got High pr dispensing machines through UN under envirinment issues. & now all are doing panels as well.
It is nothing but a game of High pr. dispening machine ( costing @ Inidan Rs. 40 Lacs & A good press / profiles. You can get the details through Cannon who are leaders in Dispening machines & the press can now even be manufactured locally.

To keep the sheets are specified distance, you get special specers so that sheets have a designated cavity. You can send me PMS for more details
