Hi all, has anyone else had probs with the plastic clip that keeps the spring attached to solenoid and throttle arm?
brand new clips and they still vibrate off, ive played with the alignment of solenoids, the height of throttle arm but nope, cable ties seem to work for now, i just dont like to rely on cable ties, is there a modded clip, ie not plastic?

Are they sprung eyes like the old one's?

sprung eyes? not quiet with you im affraid reeferjon, these here carriers are pretty new to me. Best way i can describe it is, this little plastic clip slots in the hole on solenoid and throttle arm and the spring slots into the plastic clip, said plastic clip then needs to be rotated round a bit so it holds it all together, sorry for crap explanation.. i think the older ones used brass clips? im unsure of this though.

Ahha, I got you so the old ones are not interchangable with new.

the old clips are not available anymore apparently, not that carriers are much help like, it seems unless you work for em they likes to keep their lips shut.

i will prolly have a go at my own mod, put a thread on the spring and use a nyloc to hold it all together, wont ever fall off then.
i hope...will keep here posted if i manage to sort something.

Hi all, thought i'd keep this thread up instead of starting a new one.

Could anyone advise on a few things please, I would like to find out cro valve setting along with engine speed, high and low speed and also where do I take rpm reading from, clutch, flywheel front crank pulley?

As always, any help much appreciated.

Hi
Here's a cut and paste of the tec book ........check the engine speed at the front crank pulley.

The spring clips are ok if lub'ed from new.......if not...renew and start again.

have fun
Martin:)
