View Full Version : Troubleshooting for Daikin Aircon CTK25FVEN

Hi guys,

I think I have some problem with my Daikin CTK25FVEN. When I switch on my aircon with the wireless remote last night, the green light which indicate that the aircon is on and working kept blinking but the aircon did not work. Normally the green light should just light up and not blinking. But when I try with my other few units in the other rooms they are working fine. Anyone know what is wrong with it and how to solve this problem?

you must use your remote control to find out the error code 1st,i suspect is that common fault coil themistor faulty(C4).

Most common fault for failure is lack of refrigerant !

If your DAIKIN remote controller comes with a "test" button, use it. Otherwise press the Temperature UP,
Temperature DOWN and the MODE buttons all at the same time. I repeat, all 3 buttons at the same time.

You will see 00 on the remote controller. The first "0" will be blinking.

Stand facing the particular air conditioner you wanted to test.

Now press the Temperature UP button, "0" will become "A" and the air conditioner will respond with either a single
beep or double beep.

Carry on pressing the Temperature UP button and listen to the beeping sound, stop when you hear a double beep.
For example: it is now showing "C0".

Now press the MODE button, the second "0" will be blinking.
Now press the Temperature UP button, "0" will become "1" and the air conditioner will respond with either a double
beep or a continuous beep.

The continuous beep is the error code. For example "C4", it means it is a faulty liquid pipe thermistor

Hello
Is this unit a multi system or is it a one to one
sometimes if its a multi and you have other units operating on different modes then one system does not work as it is waiting for the other unit to complete that function before it can start the others.

thanks i did what u told me to do on the remote. i found out its U4 System Transmission between indoor units

what exactly does that mean?.. i just suddenly happened

Turn off the power to condensing unit for thirty seconds or so, then switch back on. If you are lucky, it will fire up again, if not , new outdoor main pcb. I assume the unit is inverter, i'm not familiar with that model number.

how can i fix the problem if U0 to UF gives a double beep?

Double beep indicates you have the first part of the fault code correct, you need to listen for one long beep.

Hi, i've been having similar problems with my Daiken inverter also. Its been shuttin down randomly and I have to switch it off at the power board to get it back on again. Also, its not cooling the room very well at all, though it seems to work a bit better at night.

Anyway, I did what was suggested above and found the error code on my remote. It was F3 - Outdoor abnormal discharge temperature. Can anyone tell me what's involved with this and how to fix it?

most probably a gas leak

Sounds to me as quoted above that you are short on refrigerant thats usually what abnormal discharge temperature points to

Hi gents,

Sorry to bump quite an old thread, but I was hoping someone could tell me -- when running the diagnostic above, mine gives me the code "UX" (well I assume it's an X), which isn't on the list.

Different model though -- It's an FTXS35EVMA or something like that.

Does this mean I need to get it serviced? It's brand new (and 2 other units are having this problem as well) :(

Hi gents,
i am new on this forum and I know is an old thread, holpefully you can help me. I have a 4MKD90 multi split (all 4 ports are used) there is 2 of them that get to an standby mode (green led blinking) during nigth, the code for those unit is J9 (gas pipe termistor) the other does not provide any fault code. I check the gas pipe termistor and they are fine. Also I check the Electronic valve and they are good. I took the outdoor PCB to the waranty services for testing and they claim the board is good. The refrigerant was check and is fine. (actually we recovery the refrigerant and load it again by weigth). the two modules for the indoor units failing were replaced one or two month ago. I have no more bullets on the troubleshooting. I still incline on the outdoor PCB board, but if you hav any recomendation please advice.

Try a wiring correction test. Might be your problem.

I tried the wiring check function without results, also I check all the termistors outdoor, discharge, etc. all are fine. Furthermore Also I swap the indoor board of one which read out the fault code with one that is working properly (to rule out the modules) but still the sameand the

like you guys going nuts over this F3 fault..local engineers (not Daikin) have tried everything ..Daikin engineers turned upp say board test shows no problems gassed up and ran for a while then back to same problem 3 units on this one ..the stand alone unit runs fine...will have to sleep in lounge when it hot
Any ideas please..

Thank you Declan, I checked all four units and found one set to heating, changed mode (after replacing controller batteries) and am now basking in cool air - it's 34 celsius outside.
Maybe an indicator, the operation light on the non-working units was flashing, but no mention of this in the handbook.
