Ive noticed most manufactures have the same piping limitations on length and elevation factors. Do most manufactures recommend a raised distribution joint going to the Indoor? If your Indoor is mounted below the main piping run, and you raise the distribution joint then connect below, are you creating a trap? I see Sanyo recommends 15-30 degrees slanted up, then pipe down to the Indoor. Are other manufactures doing this as well?
I seen an Installation with distribution joints level with the Indoor units. Service Technician said dont worry, the system has an oil flush if oil doesnt return to the outdoor. Im thinking the Factory probably didnt want to rely on oil flush as the only way to get oil return. So you guys tell me, how important are slanted up distribution joints ? Thanks for any insight! P.S System in question is a Sanyo Eco-I VRF
