View Full Version : Hunting TXV
Hi guys
I have a problem with one small water chiller wich runs on R410C
During running the side glass goes from full to empty, so the TXV is hunting and low pressure fluctuates. But when I tried to fill in some adittional refrigerant I had problems with High pressure alarm.
Help me if you can
Thanks

Hi, Jure! Welcome to RE.
How is positioned sensing bulb of TXV? Does near sensing bulb you have heat source?
Is it R407C or R410A?

hi
what is water delta P and delta T
what is S.C and S.H
Sorry for my mistake, it is R410A, we dont have any heat sources near TXV bulb and it is imposible to mesure SSH or anything else because the conditions are always changhing due to constant opening and closing TXV valve.

Sorry for my mistake, it is R410A,
You didn't make a mistake, nike just spilled his beer and missed it.:D
I suspect the external equalizer line is restricted.
Check out this link on troubleshooting.

check how the condenser fans are working. Are they working continuously or cycling on and off?

Check that the drier is not blocked , and make sure the head preasure control works ok if fitted , with a lot 404a units you can keep adding gas and it will still show short if the head preasure is to low , around 40 deg c condensing is a good target
