Hi Marc

I`ve spoken to the technical manager for Climate centre who says there is a company in the uk but they dont advertise very well.He thinks it has international in the title, but thats of little help:confused:.

The best bet is to call one of the big suppliers either D&W or HRP and see if they can help.

There is definately nothing in the rac business catalogue for anything to do with Sharp.

Good luck.

I take it that company was no good then:(
They gave me a number of another company in warrington who want to fax me over the parts list to be sure that they are ordering the right parts.
I won't get this until monday though so i thought i could get it myself off the net.

Hi Marc.

Climate Equipment ( now Axair) used to sell loads of Sharp inverters split systems

I guess that with the take over by Walter Me?zier that they have dropped that line.

The tel no. I have is 0121 705 7601 or 0121 711 8631

I used to work for them 20years ago and used to see some of the service engineers but they have reduced the department and seem to be more interested in humidification projects

BTW After buying a few sharp units in 2003 I have a inverter service manual but only for:

AH-XCR08/10CR/13CR
AY-X08CR/10CR/13CR
AU-X08CR/10CR/13CR
AE-X08CR/10CR/13CR

Let me know if you want me to scan and send or even fax ? ( 60 pages)

Regards bob

Hi Marc,

Yes I've got a service manual for this model....even got a unit installed at home!

Unfortunately its a paper copy, but could photocopy it if you need... PM me.

Have been given a name for spares by Walter Meier (old Axair Climate)....its WIZARD DISTRIBUTORS 01925 759627.

How do you know the board is faulty....whats the symptoms?

becasue it looked burned so i swapped it with an identical one and it worked. The reason i need the manual is that i need a new board a capacitor and something else that im not quite sure what it called but if you have one at home then perhaps you know.
As you look inside the unit you have the main pcb but then you have 2 black plastic/rubber (boards?) to the left, cables go from the PCB to these but i dont know what they are called??

Hi marc,
Had a quick look thru the manual/parts list.

The black plastic/rubber units to the left of the main board (outdoor unit) are from memory the Diode Bridge and the IPM. Have these both got heat sinks on? They list 'rubber' for both these units.
I'll need to open up my unit to correctly identify what you are talking about.
An optional extra was a 'winter kit' which is a small piggy back pcb that fits on top of the main pcb, slightly to the left.
The part # of the main pcb for the outdoor unit [AE-X095E] is DSGY-A632JBK0

I don't know if spares are available, but you might want to see if the pcb is first of all. I have successfully repaired my pcb ....the reversing valve relays and diodes were faulty following a coil breakdown.

If you say that transplanting the pcb allowed the unit to run Ok then possibly the IPM and DB are OK. I would have thought that the capacitor is available from RS components.

Thanks Marc,

It's worth knowing that there is still a source of spares. What sort of cost for the PCB....is it still viable given the age of the system?

I'm not too sure of the cost, i got the office to price it up and then quote the client. They said they wanted it repairing so we ordered the parts.
