for me its the the javac D-TEC or price wise the Javac Tek-mate

ive had both and the D-TEC knocks socks off anything ive used before

You cant use any leak detector that uses a heat source to detect hydrocarbons as they can ignite the gas.Both the d-tek and tekmate have heated diodes.

Tif models of combustable gas detectors are probably the best available.

As far as i can remember from the safe handling course this is the prefered method of leak detection :eek:

your are quite right to use leak detector as soapy water can contain alkalys which can corrode non ferros materials like copper & brass
