Here in the U.S. we do not yet have the Daikin VRVIII-S (RXYSQ 5P). We still have the prior version. Daikin has told me that the new one will be here, but could not tell me when.
I am trying to compare the differences between the two models to determine if it is worth waiting for the new version. Since the new one has been available in the UK for some time now, can anyone comment on the improvements in the operating efficiency in both heat and cooling modes and the rated heat output at lower temps, such as at –13*C?
Based on what data I can compare, it would appear that both operating efficiency and heat output at lower temps is greatly improved. I am not sure that comparing the current UK model to the current US model is a fair comparison. But the relative improvements between the previous version available in the UK and the new version, should be a similar improvement that can be expected when the new US version becomes available compared to our current version.
