Which chemicals you use?
How you get them into the tray?
For cassette and wall mounts.

First,
Regular maintenance with coils cleaned using any of the branded coil cleaners should prevent the need for dedicated tray cleaning.

Second,
If it gone so far that the trays needs cleaning then the tray needs to be taken out and cleaned outside the unit (depending on what unit you are looking at, this could be a bummer). When the tray is out of the unit it's less of an issue as to what cleaner you use as then you are able to properly scrub them.
