I have been asked to give a provisional equipment selection for an office in India all I know is that there is likely to be 100 people in 5000 sqft and around 25 Kw of equipment gains. Dont know what solar gains nor ambient conditions I think its east or north east coast.

Any comments and advice would be much appreciated:)

You should ask your customer to provide you with the relevant drawings of the premises stating all the details, such as size of the Windows, orientation of the uilding, etc. Or else based on a thumb rule give them an idea as to the approximate capacity. This depends on your agreement with the customer.

Thanks for your speedy reply Samarjit. In your experience what building/ Solar gains would you guess if the space to be conditioned was say 1 floor of a multi floored free standing commercial building. Based on 20 year building techniques. Also please could you advise what you might do to compensate for your weather.

Thanks very much.

I believe the Typical Heat load should be close to 50TR. 100 sq ft of floor area = 1 TR!!!
