Help Please Guys!
I have got several sites with the older RAV Ceiling cassettes. (R22)

Which have a felt type covering on the louver.

These have now become covered in grime!

Can anyone suggest a successful means of cleaning them.

Everything I have tried has either failed or stripped the felt covering off.
Thanks Grizzly

I never found anything suitable but sat here, as you do, I was thinking about the spray foam type carpet cleaners that you can get now; it might be worth a try sometime.

Haven't seen a RAV for a couple of years now, aahhh the old Mowlem days.....

Even tried some specialist car upholstery stuff made by Karcher...stripped them right of.

My theory is that the glue holding it on nowadays have gone old and not taking moisture without dropping off any more.

Just sell the customer new units...

Rectorseal Clean-N-Safe should make the job:
http://www.rectorseal.com/index.php?site_id=1&product_id=67

I "factorize":D indoor unit and spray with diluted concentrate (1 part of concetrate and 3-4 parts of water) and leave for 10-15 min to work and then I rinse with lot of water. After that, all parts are as first day at factory.;)

Guys
Thanks for the advise.
Brian and Viking I suspect that we have all been there and failed.
As Our posts suggest, Nike thanks for the link.

This Clean and Safe looks to be good stuff.
Sadly I don't know if it is available in the U.K.

Does anyone know?

Has anyone any other ideas?
