So I have a ?. I work in seattle on the water front. I do repairs to the reefer containers that go on the ship. The shipers just told us they dont want the inside of the reefers washed anymore. So they are going out and getting loaded with mold and dirt inside. So my ? is does anyone know if there are any regulations or laws against this? Putting food in a mold dirty container cant be good for the public health.

Thanks Paul

Hi Paul, I would also check with your local Health Authority and possibly the Port Authority to see what their Regulations are.

Which shipping line is doing this ?

Are the customers complaining ?, and if they do, who ends up washing it ?

Got the opposite going on down here in Tac with Horizon. Just a wash, no PT.
That's OK, I'll fix it when it's loaded.

With Maersk, it's the mechanics call if it needs a wash.

Hi Paul,
I have serviced reefers in Asia and New Zealand, all our reefers were washed after pti.Maybe they are getting trasnshipped and getting washed later.Maybe used a general container first.
