Just use a 2 wire cable between F1 F2 Outdoor to Outdoor on the external units (assuming you are talking about VRV)

First you will need to tell us a bit more...
For example what Daikin units you are talking about and exactly what you mean with "tandem".

I assume that you are looking at a VRV system and that you want to establish a master-slave relationship?

If this is the case then:
- Control wires from indoor units connects to F1-F2 [indoor-outdoor] on the Master
- Q1-Q2 [Multi outdoor] on the Master is linked to Q1-Q2 [Multi outdoor] on the Slave.

That's it, no more cables needed.

If this isn't what you are trying to achieve, please let us know and we will try to help you.

That again depends on what you are working on...

Single split?
Cooling/heating VRV?
Heat recovery VRV?

And what your system(s) actually got connected to them...
How many indoor units?
Central control?
Groups?

Tell us more and we will be able to assist you more.
