A flooring company installed an epoxy floor in a walk-in cooler. Leveling compound was poured, cured, and smoothed out by sanding. Of course they did not cover evap coil before working. Coil fins, motors and cabinet full of PORTLAND cement powder. Attempt to clean using chemical and blowout with nitrogen worked for 3 days. More powder appeared. Any suggestions for saving unit without using water, which will turn any residue into CEMENT? Or comdemn and make floor co. pay the bill? This is in a medical teaching school and cleanliness is of the utmost importance. Thank you in advance!! Jeffrey5151

I think it is time to look at the contract with the flooring company and have discussions about who is responsible for such mishaps.
Portland Cement under a Epoxy floor? I just had one done and no Portland Cement was used as a leveling compound. It might be OK for foot traffic, but the cure time is a LOT slower than epoxy.
