Pardon for my English!
I have a problem with my Carrier Xarios 150. I receive the error A26 "Open circuit valve Hot gas" HGS2.
Can I repaire it or I need of Thechincal support?
Ps. Recently I changed battery from 48Ah to 45Ah because I don't find in my quarter commercially the 48Ah. May be this the problem?
Thank you.

Hi the fault is with the condenser closing valve (A26 Open circuit valve Hot gas/HGS2) not the battery this valve is located in the condenser (outside unit) it is black in colour and has red ring under yellow cap (the red ring means normally open valve) check the plug and wiring.................please note this is an option on the 150 so if you can not find it in the condenser look at the unit con-figs

hope this helps:)

The A26 fault code indicates that HGS2 coil is faulty not the valve itself.

Check the connections of the coil and also check the micro multiplug sometimes pin 37 burns.

Another quick fix is to reconfig the micro parameter 3ET to 2ET thus turning off HGS2 so no alarm will occur.(CHEAT)

Thank you very match for reply! I'm sorry but the model is Xarios 200 and the only circuit pattern that I have found is here
trasportiatp.it/gruppifrigo/documenti/carrier/xarios/200.swf
I know that the valve Hot gas is essential to run defrosting, I'm true?

Check the connections of the coil

Can you show me where is it?

check the micro multiplug sometimes pin 37 burns.

Where is it?
I have set to manually defrosting but the error is always showed.

Is there also on Xarios 200? and where is it?
Many thanks!

Xarios 150 to 500 have basicaly the same wiring diagram the valve hgs2 is also called the condensor closing by closing this valve and opening hgs 1 you have a more efficient defrost.

If you want you can switch off the hgs 2 function by changing the configs of the micro.
At the rear of the cab control you will find a small hole push a pin into it and you will see the cab control enters config mode, scroll through the configs until you see "3ET" press the "SET" button and change it to "2ET" then press set again.

By doing the above your defrost will still work but the A26 alarm will disappear.

I got cramp in my index finger typing this stuff.

PS. The multiplug is on the micro a big silver box with two big red wires bolted on the front.

The End
