They have hired three engineers two from Wards and one from TKN.
All this means is the merrygoround of engineers up here has started again the usual suspects chasing 10 pence more.

If it wasn't for the movers the pay would never shift.

The trouble is with that attitude you are pricing
yourself out
The retail labour rates are to low to stand it.
if companys do not make profit they go under.
The whole of transort refrigeration industry is suffering through low retail rates.
Companys are continually under cutting one an other

The problem being "MTK" can proberly afford the cost of this .To me the bigger problem comes around due to everybody fighting over the scraps and also due to the fact a lot of "one man bands" can keep their labour rates down due to lack of overheads. Wish I knew solution!!!!!!!!

Sorry for double posting but i didnt read this before i replied the first time.

Tesco have a HUGE distribution centre in Livingston. I would define "big carrots" but i wouldnt want to mention peoples wages on a forum like this.

It appears that MTK are going to a one stop shop call centre with less focus on refrigeration and more on tail lift and other equipment.

Lets hope they make a better job of repairing taillifts

Lets not, if they get that right there is a chance that they could learn how to get it right on the refrigeration side.;)

There nothing wrong with MTK at least they put time into training the engineers unlike the Carrier dealers. I would be happy to see MTK get on well . Hey most of the Uk engineer were once MTK.

:D:cool:I Think the Hi Tech training is VOR or Workshop repair
from what we see and hear from operators.Mind you
some major Carrier dealers are no better. If you took a mobile phone from a lot of engineers they would
lost in the wilderness.I started in this game when you had to think for yourself and be able to repair the fault

totally agree with skooby . without a phone nothing would get fixed, some engineers bills must be huge
