Hi

Having worked in most areas,I would recommend supermarkets for challenge and money,Transport is to messy and cold,my opinion only. A commercial engineer will adapt better to change rather than the other way round. But each to there own.

Hi Mr Saw
Had you thought about becomming a controls tech? The pay is about the same as a chiller specialist, you get to use all those skills learnt as a fridgie. More brains than muscle (no more lugging that 100kg refrigerant). Companies are Trend/Tracer (Trane), Carrier, TAC, Johnsons, or Siemans. Or perhaps a specialists position such as commissioning tech for TurboCor compressors. I did refrig for 5 years then ac for 10 and the past 5 as controls tech, and I love it - I get to use my brains, learn new stuff, and the working conditions are much much better, majority of work is done in airconditioned space on BMS front end. From experience carrier or trane have better control for central plant. I looked into becoming an engineer but another two years fulltime study - I've studdied enough for now. Good luck with your new direction.
