Hi guys,
Great reading some posts on here...its pretty obvious you lot have a passion for all things cold.If you wouldn't mind what is everyones thoughts /advice on fitting a temp alarm onto an existing coldstorage unit.It would need to be able to send sms on alarm.

go for it, we have some really old rooms and sites that are alarmed, its good to know when temp is exceeded, just make sure you get the alarm settings correct

I'm with 750.

There is no reason why you could not change the alarm to any type of system you want.

Cheers for the reply lads,
Any recommendations for a company who can supply a temp alarm ?
Also out of interest the walk in freezer has two seperate freezing units.I've noticed that by turning one off the inside temp only maybe drops by 1 to 2 'c and so I've started to cycle between the two.Do you guys forsee any probs....I don't think running singular puts any extra load on the motors but hopefully it will save on elecy
