Hello everybody!

I would really appreciate if someone can help me with assignment that I need to work on.

Assignment:

Equipment for refrigeration of 5000 lit/hour of beverages from temperature 20°C to 8°C, is installed in factory for production of non alcoholic beverages. Refrigeration is performed indirectly, using ethyl-alcohol.
Refrigerant used is R-22 and temperature of water used for cooling is tw1=10°C

I need to:
1. draw equipment schema and refrigeration cycle
2. determine temperature of evaporation in order for equipment to cover refrigeration load.
3. calculate compressor force according to results determined under topic 2.

Hope that someone can help me or can give me some advices where to look for some similar example.

1. You should be able to draw the schema and refrigerant cycle.
If not then you need to do a lot of reading before you can continue.

2. Determine load.

3. Compressor sizing.

See above.

Has your tutor not given you any guidance on the subject ?
