I am new here . I have some problams with my tk MD-11 SR truck. I'll bee very grateful if some one help me to have an operating manual ,maintenance manual ...etc.
And here in IRAQ we have no technical support

Hi Ali,

There is plenty of ex TK (And some current) engineers on the forum. let us know what problems you are having and i am sure we can help, Fault codes etc

the main problem is that I could not set the temp. to under 0 C and I want to store meets.the minimum setting in the thermoguard device is 0

you may need to go into Super guarded access mode and change the setpoint low limit.

If your not sure how to do this, here in the next following steps will lead you right way.

1. make sure unit is set for contionouse run mode.

2. do not allow unit to sart

3. press the circular select key on touch pad repeatedly, unitl you see a screen Abbr Ddur 45.

4. press and hold tk logo key button for 5 seconds.

5. guarded acees screen will appear for maint hour meters timers.

6. press select key again like step 3 above until you reach Ddur 45 again.

7. repeat step 4 above this will put you in super guarded access.

8. press the select key unitl you see a screen abbreviated "STL" Set point low. this will follow after setpoint high "STH".

9. use the down arrow key until you reach the lowest setpoint. then press the equals key to enter the change.

shut off unit and turn back on, you should now be able to lower the setpoint.

remeber the unit has to be in continous run mode, and not be running to access this menu.

Keep in mind if this is your first time you will probabbly time out in thies menus on the screens and get reverted back to the main screen menu. be patient and keep follow the steps till you get there to make the change.

Sarakakis SA based on 50 Masbah Street was the traditional agent but that may have changed post- regime change.

Ali, I had assumed you were using R404a.

yes for frozen applications R404a will be the the best for the application, however you just cant remove r134a and replace with 404a, there would be some other modifications you will have to do, TXV, HPCO, Drier, comp oil and oil filter. Evact to 500 microns or less and then perform a controlled refrigerant charge of R-404a.

Being your in Irac, and probbaly suffer from high ambient conditons, it may be a very good idea to make sure the condensor coil is very clean and can remove the heat readily and easily, or you may expeirence head pressure issues. You also may want to adjust compressor suction pressure regulator as well to achieve lower discharge temperatures and operating pressures.

Ali,

If you cant get R-404a there, then how did you learn of its existance, or ask if it could be converted to that?

R-404a is the HFC replacement to CFC R-502 and HCFC 402a.

I suppose you could backwards in technolgy and time to do so if it was absolutly neccessary.

Again differnt oils are emplyed with these differnt refrigerants and same apllies in converting from one type of refrigerant to another.

Perhaps I am at the end of the advice i can offer in these regards and you may have to see what TK is doing there in regards to this.

I see thermo Prince is going to get you contact info fro the TK reps in that area, perhaps you can ask them what they reccomend for your unique situatation.

HEY, lets not be knocking 134a, it's good stuff.

Most all my containers run it, -10f/-23c no problem.

Will the only container unit that i know of working well with R134a is the CTC 69NT models OR MHI.

Of course CTC has always been ahead of the game in marine applications. Electronix expansion valve control subcoolers, discharge pressure regulators, you name it. CTC has always done a great job in the marine refrigeration container units, and gensets another Kudos to them, I cannot say enough great things about the CTC product line in those regards.

I have always been fond of the MHI container units as well. Just think they could have made some improvements to the condensors to keep from excessive corrosion, I have found this unit to be a genset killer....... Trying to always maximize capacity and that they do but not always good for the other working components involved.

No, this steps is for the "SR" type micro. The "MAX" units has another, simpler micro. It is however possible to do some adjustments to the "MAX" micro also.

what the parameters mean. MDII-SR MP-T : St.1 (YES/no), HSPd (YES/no), LLS (yes/NO), rUnd (yes/NO) rdSP (NOR)


St.1 is for showing tenths of a degree (yes for tenths, no for whole degrees)
factory setting: no

HSPd is for high speed pull down. if yes than unit will run in high speed until setpoint is reached. setting to no will allow the unit to pull down the box in low speed, for what tk says is a fuel savings.
factory setting: yes

LLS is low speed start. yes will have the unit run for 2 minutes (or water temp value is reached) in low speed, no means high speed off the bat.
factory setting: no
rund is for units running on stand by and if they lose power, the diesel engine automatically starts. yes will allow the engine to auto start, no will not automatically start the unit.
factory setting: no

rdsp is for remote display orientation. if using a remote display setting it to nor will be normal, if set to reu it will display the mirror image, allowing the driver to read it properly.
factory setting: nor.

Hi,

In super guarded, there is a screen for oil. The options are StCH, bar, HPa, Ps1.

What are these?
