Is it possible to change the oil filter on an old Trane Centravac chiller without removing the R123 charge. There are no isolation valves on the filter. THere is a service bulletin which provides details of an oil piping upgrade but there must be a way to chane the oil filter.
Thanks

I want to look up over the technical documentation.
Thank you.

The model and serial number means nothing. The tank head could have been changed/upgraded or the oil fitler could have been modified. JMHO

Hi Iceman 007,
Raise the pressure to just slightly above '0' psi and do not allow system to be in its vacuum stage. For safety precaution put on your gas mask. Immediately unscrew and replace the oil filter cannister. Check with you, are you refering to the LOCV,CVHE,CVHG? By the way good luck on your quest mate.

If possible change filtro.incrementa the pressure of the machine to 0psig, and changing the filter subsequently reduces the pressure to empty and pon in operation in purging way manual to remove air
