On installations of indoor units in high rise apartments how do you guys run condensate drains and using wat kind materials .We use pvc pipes 20-25mm and couple them usin elbows. We then join them to the main condensate drain line(50mm) using t pieces and 50/25 reducers, connecting one level with the other on the outside which happens to be the balcony wer our outdoor units are located.Any suggestions on a better way to do it

Sounds ok. Again, you are limited to what you can do with it.
A few years ago I went to look at one of them all in one wall mount a/c units with the air in and out grilles through the outside wall for the condenser. The flat owner installed it himself and was up on the 2nd floor of the building. I had to take the machine off the wall to do an internal repair on it and found he had run the condensate drain into the cavity wall:eek:

use condensate pumps that discharge to waste, they can pump to approx 5 metres head, so at low actual water volume rate you can clear condensate easily from a split or ducted system. Most ref wholesalers have them available. Quick and easy to install particually when there is no fall to drains with say internal installs.

use condensate pumps: there is a pump that you can put above the unit up to 15' it will pull the water out then pump it out for every 1 ft. you pull out you need to take off 2ft. out.
they are better then the micro pumps by far.
