Hi Guys,

I read years ago about this technology being developed for Submarines. I have recently been informed its commercially available now.

Does anybody know of any websites links etc for this or manufacturers using this Technology

i have a mail from daiken,south africa dating back to 2004 with the first turbocors.they have been around for a while now,not too sure about the production.

I often work with turbocors, in water chillers and as the front end of the TROX CO2 IT cooling systems.

Nice little units, for something that weighs in at around 45Kg yet puts out somewhere in the region of 250/300KW of duty, I'm very impressed with them.

What about power failures on these?when the magnetic bearings aint magnetized anymore?generate their own power via the flywheel and do a safe rundown or what?
